Oilers Win a close Thriller in the Shark Tank
With a sense of impending change and motivation from their previous four losses to owner Critter's team including the 3 games sweep from the previous playoffs, the Oilers rolled into the Shark Tank wanting to smell some shark blood. Unfortunately, the first blood was released by Gorges as he was able to get a shot past Rolloson early in the first.
However, Petr Sykora was able to quickly change things around tying the game up and then putting the Oilers ahead in a matter of minutes. That is how the 1st ended in a tight checking and highly contested affair. However, the Sharks responded in the second, taking the play to the Oilers and tying the game up at 2 on a goal by Bell from the point. Another tight game and going into the third that way.
The Oil could feel another close loss coming and it seemed destined as a couple of posts rang beind Rolli the goalie. However, Fernando Pisani turned the tide scoring on a quick shot and the Oilers held on finally winning a tight game against Coach Critter's team.
