Game 1 - Vancouver @ Montreal

Montreal starts off the season by hosting Vancouver. It was a close game, with Vancouver edging out the Habs by a score of 1-0. The game was end to end, hard hitting action, with no decision (unless multiple posts and crossbars by both team count for something) until with only a few minutes left in the game, Daniel Sedin slipped one by Huet.

Montreal was relentless in the last few minutes and rang at least two more off the post.

Game 2 - Montreal @ Vancouver

Looking to avenge themselves for the loss at home, Montreal came out of the gate charging in this game. They smashed and beat the Canucks all over the ice, but unfortunately, they couldn't solve Luongo, and the bounces went the Canucks' way.

The Canucks scored twice late in the first period, one of them off a crazy goal that hit both posts and got kicked in by the D man, and managed to hold on for the shutout.
