The sold out crowd at Mellon Arena was in for a treat as game 2 took to the ice. Would someone opening the series up tonight or would this just prove to be a evenly matched series?

Ruttu, overlooked in the line up in game one, was out to prove he deserved his share when he took a slick feed from Laraque and deked out Roloson finally going top shelf to light the lamp. That duo wasn't done yet as just over a minute later Ruttu tapped in a Laraque slapper that Roloson couldn't keep a handle on.

Edmonton stuck with the never say die motto and it paid off. Late in the 2nd period Nedved was able to sneak one past Fleury, stopping the Oiler goal drought at 7 periods. The game tightened back up from there, and both goalies stole the show not allowing anything else.
