San Jose 4 @ Toronto 2

The GMC line looks to be unstoppable

Once again the new second line of Guerin-Marleau-Clowe for San Jose would prove to be the factor of the game. San Jose's first line would put San Jose up 1 nothing in the first by a pretty gtic-tac-toe play by Thornton from Michalek and Rivet. In the second period the GMC line would strike when Guerin made a pretty deke and roofed it.

With over two periods gone it seemed as though Nabokov would be getting a shutout to finish the year. But O'neill had other plans. O'neill struck for two quick goals when he rifled a shot that gave Nabokov problems, and then he lasered a shot top shelf to tie the game and put the capacity crowd at the ACC up on their feet. Though a few minutes later San Jose would get a break. Bell was given a rebound and took a few swipes at the puck before what seemed like Kilger kicked in the puck into his own net. Toronto would again press in the last few minutes only to have the comeback squashed when the GMC line produced another goal with about 25 seconds left.
