New second line proves to be potent.

The scoring would start on the Toronto powerplay to quiet the packed crowd at the Shark Tank. O'neil shoveled in a rebound past Nabokov to take the early lead. Just minutes later San Jose would tie it up with a similar rebound goal by Guerin.

The new (after updates) San Jose second line of Clowe-Marleau-Guerin would strike again when Clowe made a nifty move around the d-man and then Raycroft to take the lead for the first time in the game. This line would keep rolling, when in the third period Marleau was sent in on a semi-breakaway and netting one for the home team. Battaglia would get one back to make it a 1 goal game. With only a few minutes left Toronto was pressing for the tying goal. Just before Coach IAC was gonna yank the goalie San Jose would put the game away when Thornton was given the puck in the slot. Thornton put it on the short side just over the pad.
