Playoff Rules

1st two rounds best of 5 series taking turns being home and away. Higher seed gets 1st home (so H-A-H-A-H for higher seed).

Finals best of 7 series 2-2-1-1-1 format. Higher seed gets 1st home (so H-H-A-A-H-A-H for higher seed).

Game rules are same as regular season. 5 minute periods, medium speed and default for everything else except if you can change it, switch to only OT with no shoot out. If this is not an option if the teams are tied after regulation, begin a new game with the same team being home. First team to score, wins. (Rinse-repeat as necessary if no one scores.)

First round is 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5. Second round is top seed left vs lowest seed left and the two middle seeds left against each other. I know this does not allow much leeway for starting early, but it also keeps everyone interested.

Deadline is 10 days for each round. A soft deadline of 2 games played after a week will be in place. (I'll monitor those series that have not been going)

Round 1 deadline is Monday January 22nd.
Round 2 deadline is Thursday February 1st.
Round 3 deadline is Monday February 12th.

Please use the scheduling thread at GUG to schedule games in. In the case of a deadline miss, this will be used to determine who gets the win.

Winner posts the results. It would be nice to have a post of each nights worth of games in a series.

Play at least 2 games per session .... its easier then trying to hook up again.
