After a tough loss at home, the Canucks head into Edmonton with resolve. "We gave that game away in the last minute, we are not going to let that happen tonight. We are ready!" says captain Marcus Naslund.
The game starts with a pretty tight checking game and the goalies at both ends keep their teams in the game. The first ends in a draw with both teams getting alot of chances.
Period number 2 is no different. Luongo and Rolosson are the story in this game making big saves to keep their teams in the game.
In the 3rd period, the teams pick up the pace and open things up. Bulis opens the scoring at the 9:33 mark of the 3rd period. kesler found a way to get the puck to the net and Bulis manged to get it by Rolosson.
At 15:14 Horcoff, who has been snake bitten this series, finally breaks his drought and beats Luongo with a nice move after a pass from Winchester.
Marcus Naslund with only 58 seconds left, takes a pass from H. Sedin and beats Rolosson 5 hole. "Henrik has been an inspiration to our team these playoffs." Says brother Daniel. "I have not seen him this intense. I like it!" He adds.
Series goes back to Vancouver for Game 3 all square at 1-1. This is shaping to be a road game series, which does not bode well for the Canucks. "We need to now take this momentum home. We know we can win on the road." says Luongo.
