Hawks Beat Habs in SO
Montreal 2 Chicago 3 (so)
Chicago raced out to a quick two goal lead as Montreal struggled to get going after Christmas initially, but after going two goals down it was all one was traffic as the Habs pounded the Blackhawk net and got one goal back right before the end of the period. The second period, and the third was all Montreal, with Chicago hanging on grimly before Latandresse scored off a rebound with around ten mintues to go.
The overtime period was scoreless but Chicago were very fortunate in getting the two points, with Handzus getting the only goal in the shootout.
