Ottawa 2 @ Toronto 3

Leafs sweep season series over Senators

The Leafs came home Thursday night to face the Senators, with a 2-1-1 record in their last 4 games. Once again, to no one's surprise, Andrew Raycroft started in net for Toronto while Martin Gerber manned the cage for Ottawa.

This game was much higher scoring than the 1st game, with Jeff O'Neill starting the scoring on a mini breakaway on Martin Gerber, sliding a backhander home to make it 1-0 Leafs. Ottawa quickly responded, with Jason Spezza burying one behind Raycroft to tie the game at 1-1.

In the second, the Leafs went up 2-1 on a Hal Gill blast from the top of the faceoff circle, Peca and Ponikarovsky with the assists. Dany Heatley responded in the third to tie the game again at 2-2. The winner came from the stick of Bryan McCabe on a shot from the point and the Leafs took the game 3-2.
