Ottawa 2 @ Colorado 1 (OT)

Ottawa pressure on the opposing team pays off

Ottawa came to Colorado confident that they could repeat what they did the games before. "We needed to go back to basics." said Ottawa's coach Frankididou as the Sens came on the ice. Colorado was ready to face the music their supporters going crazy in the Pepsi Center.

Ottawa were fast on the attack, Heatley scoring in the beginning of the first period giving the Sens the advance in the game. The answer from Colorado was not long Richardson finding the back of the net with a strong wrist shot that took Gerber by surprise.

The second period and third period were fast and furious both them attacking Ottawa putting lot of pressure on the Avs defenses but neither of them could shot pass the goalie, Gerber and Theodore giving a solid performance.

Ottawa consolidated his advance and took the win at the beginning of the overtime period when Eaves took a rebound that bounced off the defense and on Theodore to finish in the net.
