New Jersey 4 - Calgary 0

Devils Begin A New Streak

The New Jersey Devils returned home from a tough loss in Overtime to the Calgary Flames last night. All fired up to keep shooting upward in the standings, the Devils came out swarming and were able to come away with a shutout. The first period Mikka Kiprusoff continued his strong play until John Madden was able to find a crack in the armor. This opened the floodgates as Patrik Elias scored off a nifty deke, and Jamie Langenbrunner added a powerplay tally when he blocked his own defenseman's shot from the point and roofed a rebound shot from between the circles over the goaltender as he layed on the ice in anticipation of the initial shot. Neither team was able to muster much for the remainder of the game until Erik Rasmussen was able to steal a page from Elias' puck handling playbook and add another tally late.

You played very well Bucketo! You need to give yourself more credit. :)
