Blackhawks @ Penguins

Chicago 6 Pittsburgh 3

Blackhawks Win Second Straight

Chicago faced Pittsburgh at the Mellon Arena last night in the second game of a home and home and put one a much improved performance to beat the Penguins convincingly.

The first period was even in shots at nine apiece but Chicago managed to score twice with pretty goals from Vrbata and Ruutu - both deked Fleury out of his pads to score forehand top shelf to take a two-nil lead, before Crosby pulled one back with a tremendous move to completely tie up Khabibulin. The Hawks extended the advantage with a Vrbata power play marker before Arkihpov notched his second in two games to make in 4-1 Blackhawks.

The Pens tried to mount a comeback, but two terrific one timers from Leclair sandwiched another Ruutu goal before Smolinski completed the scoring and earn the Blackhawks the win.

Shots on goal:
Chicago 35
Pittsburgh 21

Three Stars
1. Radim Vrbata (Chi)
2. Tuomo Ruutu (Chi)
3. John Leclair (Pit)

Thanks for the games SF!! - really enjoyed these ones....
