UPDATE: From the Office of the General Manager of the Carolina Hurricanes

Hi guys... I just wanted to apologize for not being available for GUGHL games for the past two weeks. A week ago there were family problems that I needed to attend to, and this past week I've been laid up with a pinched nerve in my lower back and have been pretty much out of commission since Monday. I've only managed to get 4 games in and there really isn't much time left before the deadline to play half of my matches.

I've really enjoyed the few games I was able to play so far, but I don't want to mess up the season and the standings for everyone. I'll let the league commissioner decide how to handle things, but it's totally cool with me if you want to take me off the list and continue on. My back is still pretty bad and it's tough to say when I'll be able to play with any degree of consistency.

Again, I'm really sorry for the inconvenience and for being a broken old man (well, 35 years old but feeling 80).
