The Leafs faced off against the Calgary Flames Wednesday night, Toronto was trying to build on a 4-game winning streak against a tough Flames squad led by Jarome Iginla and Mikka Kiprusoff in net.
The two teams traded chances in the first period, both goalies coming up with huge stops. The Leafs took the lead 1-0 in the second, only to have the Flames tie it a short time later, Daymond Langkow burying a shot past Andrew Raycroft. The Leafs came on strong in the third period, solving 'Kipper' on a one-timer by Kyle Wellwood to give the Leafs a 2-1 win on the road. The Flames held a huge advantage in hits, led by defensemen Dion Phaneuf and Robyn Regehr.
