The Leafs and Bolts went at it in the 2nd of a home and home series Tuesday. After great performances, both coaches decided to stick with their #1 goalies for the return match.
The Leafs were on fire tonight, getting numerous chances off rushes and on one-time shots, but Marc Denis was unbelievable. The only one that beat Denis came off a terrible pass out front by D Filip Kuba, ricocheting off Darcy Tucker's pants, off Michael Peca's stick and in the net. The Leafs team D was superb tonight, keeping the high powered Lightning offense to 12 shots. Raycroft picked up his 5th shutout of the year.
