The Canadians blanked the Sabres late last night, completing the season series sweep. Cristabol Huet may have only made 14 saves with the majority of them being outstanding, however it was still enough to earn his second shutout of the season. The Sabres could just not buy a goal hitting the post on several occassions and having some tricklers scooped back out.

Alex Kovalev scored a beauty in the second period proving that his soft hands have only aged like fine wine, although he still needs to work on his post-goal dramatics.
