Stars take advantage of poor goaltending, and Turco shines once again.
The Habs knew it wasn't going to be a good night when Modano scores on the 1st shift, off the 1st faceoff, off the 1st shot of the game. It didn't get any better for the Habs when Halpern slipped one in after harmlessly shooting from the goal line. That was enough for Carbo to pull the trigger and call in Abby. It didn't get much better for Aebisher as the Stars continued to press and score two more on nifty dekes that faked out the goaltender. Barnes was able to put one more in before the night was over.
It was a different story at the other end of the rink, where Turco (Once again) was magical in net, stopping all 17 shots.
GM Critter3 stated after the game, "We knew their goaltending was spectacular this year, so we needed to come out strong and that's what we did".
