Leafs 3 @ Penguins 0

The Leafs rolled into Pittsburgh Thursday to play Sidney Crosby and the Penguins. Andrew Raycroft got the start once again in goal for Toronto, with Marc-Andre Fleury in the twine tent for Pittsburgh.

The first half of the first period was a close checking affair, both teams D getting big hits in on opposing forwards. The Leafs opened the scoring on the power play, a scramble in front was knocked home by Alex Steen to make it 1-0, it was Steen's first of the year. Little more than 6 minutes later, Alex Ponikarovski roofed home a rebound on a Jeff O'Neill shot, making the score 2-0.

Early in the second period, Mats Sundin was sent in all alone on Fleury and roofed a backhand to make it 3-0. Inexplicably, the lights went out in old Mellon Arena 7 minutes into the 3rd, and the Pens coach conceded the win to Toronto.
