Goalie Showdown at High Noon in Battle of Alberta

One of the most heated rivals in the NHL got re-aquainted in a tight defensive battle filled with lots of hits and many great saves. The showdown was between the two goalies as Dwayne Roloson and Miikka Kiprusoffput on a goaltender clinic with 57 minutes of scoreless hockey. The highlight up until that point was a spectacular diving glove save by Dwayne Roloson to commit some highway robbery after a very slick move by Jarome Iginila.
As the pressure mounted and the teams went back and forth in the 3rd period, it became obvious that the first to score would win this match. With less than 3 minutes left, Steve Staios sent a beutiful pass up to Fernando Pisani who went back-forehand and wired a wrister top shelf over the stacked pads of Miikka Kiprusoff. Despite some close chances for the Flames, the score ended at 1-0 with Dwayne ROloson getting his fourth 1-0 shutout of the season.
