The Habs defense stepped up and provide some extra offence with 4 of the 5 goals coming from the D-men. Habs powerplay and penatly killers were hard at work adding 2 and 1 goal respectively. The Sabres showed some life in the 2nd by pulling within 1 but seemed to stall back out in the 3rd.
Both goalies were suspect at times as bad bouces had their way a few times.

The win comes fresh on the heals of a controversial dispute in the Habs camp, as Ribeiro refused to clean out his locker and in turn added 2 helpers in a winning cause.
